The Flexible Training Option

The Blended Pumper Driver/Operator Program allows students to take the theory portion of their training online instead of in class. In addition to completing the theoretical learning at your own pace, you can now complete it at your own place as well! Students are given up to one year to complete the online training portion of the program. The practical component is available in a 5 day per week format and runs over the course of two weeks. This is a great online firefighter training program opportunity, so you can work at your own pace on your own schedule, allowing you to still work and have time for life's events. NFPA 1002 Pumper Driver/Operator

Course Description

Driver

NFPA 1002 Driver/Operator addresses the requirements of the Standard for Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications. This course targets, but is not limited to members of the fire service, first responders, and industrial first responders. This portion focuses on types of apparatus equipped with a pump, apparatus inspection and maintenance, as well as apparatus safety and operating emergency vehicles. The course for firefighter training will also go into how to position an apparatus, which is crucial for firefighter academy training.

Pumper

The Pumper portion focuses on the principles of water, hose nozzles and flow rates, theoretical pressure calculations and fire ground hydraulic calculations. It goes into fire pump theory, operating fire pumps and static water supply sources. In addition, relay pumping operations, water shuttle operations, foam equipment and systems as well as apparatus testing is also included. This pumper portion is crucial for those looking to become a firefighter and for an online firefighter training program.

Blended Learning

Pro Board Accredited
